Description

Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Location: Savannah, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Unit and Role Overview

  • Unit: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
  • Equipment used: Hamilton ventilators, Cross Vent, TXP
  • Documentation system: Paper-based
  • Scheduling: 2-3 shifts per week
  • Uniform: Black on black scrubs

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Georgia
  • Minimum of 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) skills

Procedures Performed

  • Bag-mask ventilation
  • Securing and managing advanced airways
  • Assisting with line placements (PIV or UVC) and transport stabilization
  • Point-of-care testing (ABG/CBG, glucose, etc.) as applicable

Additional Information

  • Annual transport competencies required
  • Emphasis on safety and emergency preparedness during neonatal transport
  • Opportunity to work with advanced neonatal transport equipment and protocols

This position is ideal for experienced respiratory therapists with a strong background in neonatal transport and critical care, looking for a travel assignment in a supportive NICU environment.
