Description
Registered Nurse - Emergency Department
Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Shift: Nights, 7 PM – 7 AM
Positions Available: 2
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 11 weeks
Job Summary
The Registered Nurse coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served on the assigned units. Ensures quality care is provided efficiently and safely, consistent with unit standards. Demonstrates professionalism, quality, and effectiveness in clinical practice and work habits. Treats staff, physicians, patients, and families with respect and consideration.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Mexico
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- PALS issued by American Heart Association or ENPC issued by American Heart Association
- TNCC or ATCN certification
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious diseases
- Clean, well-lighted, ventilated, smoke-free environment
- Subject to stressful professional relationships and variable working hours with flexibility for emergencies
- Physical demands include prolonged standing and walking, heavy lifting and transferring of patients/equipment, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching
- Requires good visual and hearing acuity, manual dexterity, and fine motor coordination
Additional Information
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- On Call: Voluntary
- Floating: Yes, as helping hands during low census
This position is a travel assignment in the Emergency Department requiring a skilled RN with relevant certifications and at least one year of specialty experience. Night shift availability and flexibility are essential.
