Job Details

• Unit: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
• Shift: Rotating 3x12 hour shifts (Night: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM / Day: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
• Hours per week: 36
• Shift rotation may be adjusted based on hospital operational needs.
• Must work at least every other holiday.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Minimum 1.5 years of CVICU experience, with CVICU experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Orientation and Onboarding

• Completion of online training modules prior to start is mandatory; modules must be completed on a computer using Google Chrome.
• Modules include facility-specific safety and procedural training.
• Photo for badge required (headshot, shoulders up, white background).
• Baseline competency exams (medication administration and ECG interpretation) completed at orientation; remediation and retake offered if needed.
• Must submit a resume with 3 years prior work history including at least 2 years clinical practice in acute care (10 years work history required for OR Tech First Assistants and RNFAs).
• Two professional references required from recent employment within one year (manager, supervisor, charge nurse, or director).

Additional Notes

• Candidates must carry a government-issued photo ID while on assignment.
• Fingerprinting results must be received prior to contract extension.
• Candidates may start with fingerprinting results pending if fingerprinting is completed before start date.
• Candidates with a break in employment longer than 6 months at this facility may need to repeat orientation modules and competency exams.
• Latex allergy accommodations available; notification required.
• Medical and religious exemptions for vaccines and fit mask are accepted but require agency approval and facility review.

This position is ideal for experienced CVICU nurses licensed in Ohio or compact states, comfortable with rotating 12-hour shifts, and able to meet comprehensive health, background, and competency requirements.
