Description

Job Opportunity: RN - OR

Location: Hartford, Connecticut
Employment Type: Long Term


Job Description

  • Work primarily in the Main OR at a Level 1 Trauma Hospital.
  • Shift schedule: 40 hours per week, primarily day shifts with rotation to evenings and nights as needed.
  • Shift lengths vary: 2-8 hour shifts and 2-12 hour shifts.
  • Typical shift times include:
    • 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
    • 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
    • 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
    • 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
    • 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
    • 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
    • 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • Call schedule includes every other hour/every other week (EOH/EOW) calls and/or shifts.
  • Weekday overnight call rotation required.
  • RN must be skilled in multiple specialties within the OR.

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Connecticut
  • Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
  • One completed travel nursing assignment
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Experience with thoracic procedures and thoracic surgery
  • Experience with trauma procedures and trauma surgery
  • Experience with transplant procedures and transplant surgery

Additional Notes

  • Prior travel experience is mandatory for this role.
  • The position involves working in a high-acuity trauma environment with varied shift patterns and call responsibilities.
