Description
Pediatric Acute RN (Contract)
Location: Tuba City, Arizona
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Provide nursing care to pediatric patients requiring acute care. Work independently following physician orders, nursing standards, and hospital policies. Support patients of all ages and their families in a culturally diverse community serving Native American tribes and others.
Work Schedule
- Day shift: 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM
- 7 shifts per pay period
- Approximately 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Arizona
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 3 years of pediatric medical-surgical nursing experience, with at least some experience within the last year
- Pediatric experience
- Current certifications (must be maintained throughout employment):
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – American Heart Association
Additional Information
- Orientation sessions held every 2 weeks
- COVID and flu vaccination exemptions may be accepted after submitting a declination form
- Limited shared housing available at $600/month (no family or pets allowed); housing application must be submitted 2 weeks prior to start
- The facility serves a large rural area with a culturally rich population including Navajo, Hopi, and Southern Paiute tribes
