Location: Seattle, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work in a Surgical Services specialty within a large endoscopy department at a level two trauma, tertiary medical center.
- Patient population includes 30% inpatient, 70% outpatient, and 10% pediatrics.
- Responsibilities include assisting with high-level disinfection (HLD) of scopes, room turnover, and intra-procedural assistance to physicians for general and advanced therapeutic endoscopy procedures.
- Must be flexible to work any start time within the day shift (4x10 hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM).
- Weekend work required every other weekend.
- Float pool assignment required (may float to other Providence facilities within reasonable distance).
Required Qualifications
- Endoscopy Technician with a minimum of 1 year of experience.
- Endoscopy Technician experience must be within the last year.
Schedule
- Day shift: 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (7:00 AM to 7:30 PM).
- Every other weekend required.
- Return to office (RTO) for Aya offer only 4 days, no holiday; more than 4 days requires manager approval.
Licensure & Certifications
- BLS certification (AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation equivalent).
- Surgical Tech or MA-Certified or Nursing Assistant certification required.
- Other certifications such as ACLS, PALS, NRP, IV Certification, and others may be required based on unit-specific needs (verify with clinical track).
Background and Compliance Requirements
- Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years; must be updated annually.
- Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests, THC inclusion rules apply).
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating fitness to work.
- Immunizations and health documents required:
- TDAP (within 10 years, declination accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season
- COVID vaccine or declination
- Respiratory safety clearance required annually for respirator use (travel only).
References and Employment History
- Minimum of 2 references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting.
- Employment application required with at least the last 5 years of employment history.
Additional Requirements
- Must complete required WorkRamp modules annually, including:
- System-level regulatory modules
- Specialty-specific modules for Surgical Tech and Endoscopy roles
- Regional and facility-specific training modules as applicable
- Photo for badge not required for this facility.
- Float policy acknowledgment required.
