Description

Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab (Travel Assignment)

Location

El Paso, Texas

Contract Details

Travel position
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (8-hour shifts)
Flexibility required for shift times (possible shifts: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
Call required (distributed evenly among staff, including weekends)

Unit Overview

3 operating cath lab rooms (2 are Electrophysiology compatible)
Staff per case: 2 RNs and 2 Cardiovascular Technicians (CVTs), unless anesthesia or non-invasive support is needed
Equipment: Cath lab with advanced cardiovascular technology
EMR system: Meditech
Permanent positions available on unit

Typical Procedures

Cardiac catheterization (Cath)
Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)
Electrophysiology procedures (A-fib)
Watchman device implantation
Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR)
INARI procedures
Device implantations (pacemakers, ICDs, Impella)

Preferred Candidate Profile

Team-oriented and hardworking
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
Adheres to dress code: scrub colors royal blue or black

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
ACLS certification
BLS certification

Additional Information

The unit has a strong reputation with low PCI mortality and high procedural volume, including 50 TAVRs
Recognized for excellent outcomes and advanced structural heart procedures
On-call team handles emergent cases, including weekends
