Description
Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Technician
Location: Nantucket, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (approximately 13 weeks)
Schedule
- Tuesday to Friday, 10:00 AM – 8:30 PM
- On-call Wednesday to Thursday, 8:30 PM – 7:00 AM
- Shared housing provided at no cost
Required Qualifications
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification by ARDMS
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, with experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Must meet all professional licensure and certification requirements for the position (no conditional licenses accepted)

Required Credentials and Compliance
- Professional license and/or certification primary source verification within 30 days of start date
- N95 Fit Test within 365 days of start date, updated annually (no exemptions allowed)
- Respirator Medical Clearance attestation if fit test required
- Color vision test within 365 days of start
- Immunizations and health requirements including:
- MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) vaccination or proof of immunity
- TB test within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test), updated if break >6 months
- Health statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date
- Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start, including Massachusetts CORI and national sex offender registry checks
- Exclusion checks against OIG, GSA, and Medicaid exclusion lists within 30 days of start and annually
- Education verification of highest level achieved
- Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state
- Two professional references within 4 years, including at least one supervisor or higher in skillset
- Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission
- Confirmation of assignment form upon acceptance and for extensions
Additional Information
- Must complete FEMA ICS 100 training prior to onboarding
- Housing agreement form required if staying in provided housing, updated if break in assignment is 35 days or more
- Positive TB test requires documentation of a negative chest x-ray after the positive test
- Some optional but strongly preferred vaccinations include Hepatitis B and Tdap
