Description
Occupational Therapist (OT) - Travel Position
Location: Cypress, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Unit Information
- Unit: 2N Rehab Unit, 23 beds
- Patient caseload: 4-6 patients
- Shift: Day shift with rotating weekends
- EMR system: Meditech (upgrading to Meditech Expanse)
- Floating: May float to other rehab sites if census is low
- Dress code: Navy scrubs
Job Description
- Provide skilled therapy to inpatient rehab patients
- Treat various levels of patients in a rehab setting
- Flexible and adaptable approach required
Required Qualifications
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Texas
- Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) certification
- Minimum 1 year of Occupational Therapist experience, including inpatient rehab experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience in a rehabilitation setting
- De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting
Preferred Attributes
- Passionate about rehabilitation therapy
- Experience in inpatient rehab settings
Schedule
- 36 hours per week
- Rotating weekends required
