Work Schedule
- Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday
- On-call: 1 weekend per month (call hours 8:00 PM to 7:00 AM following morning, or 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM on holidays and weekends)
- Typical weekly hours: 36
Unit Information
- Unit: Echocardiography (Echo)
- Number of beds: 317
- Staff on unit: 7 Echo Techs (day shift), 1-2 RNs, 1 Cardiovascular Technician, 1 Echo Coordinator
- Equipment: GE E95 ultrasound machine
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system: EPIC
- Floor: 3rd floor, North Medical Building
Job Description
- Perform complete cardiac echocardiograms with full reports within 1 hour
- Typical procedures include:
- Transthoracic Echocardiogram (TTE)
- Treadmill Stress Echo / Dobutamine Stress Echo
- Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE)
- Must have cardiac ultrasound experience
Requirements/Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a cardiac sonographer, with experience within the last year
- RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) or RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) certification
- ARRT (S) or ARDMS certification
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
