Registered Nurse (RN) – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Location: Mattoon, Illinois

Job Description

• Provide individualized patient care in the ICU by assessing physical and psychosocial status using age-specific data.
• Perform ongoing patient assessments, including observation, physical exams, lab/test results, and responses to interventions.
• Participate in multidisciplinary care planning to address patient needs and optimize outcomes.
• Assist other staff with patient care as needed.
• Incorporate patient teaching and discharge planning to promote optimal recovery.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience.
• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license verified through Nursys.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 30 days of start.
• Completed Skills Checklist relevant to ICU within the past year.
• Two supervisory reference forms with employment dates.
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility (local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible).
• Applicants who were direct employees of the facility within the last 2 years are not eligible.

• Electronic Medical Record system used: Cerner.
• Dress code: Royal Blue Scrubs.
• Nonbillable hours: 16 hours.
