Description

Registered Nurse (OR Circulator) - Days

Location: Vail, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (Days)
Hours per Week: 32


Job Summary

  • Provide expert, compassionate, and individualized nursing care for patients and their families in an operating room setting.
  • Collaborate with providers, staff, and team members to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Oversee daily patient flow to ensure safety, care quality, and patient satisfaction.
  • Triage incoming patient requests for services efficiently.
  • Deliver patient education to support care plans and promote wellness.
  • Delegate care appropriately according to Colorado state regulations.
  • Perform healthcare assessments, prioritize tasks, and apply critical thinking skills.
  • Manage high telephone volume related to patient medication requests, information, and assistance.
  • Administer medications, perform treatments, and assist in procedures while adhering to patient safety guidelines.
  • Coordinate patient care with other physician practices and healthcare entities to maximize care quality.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Advocate for patient safety, preferences, and communication through Relationship-Based Care.
  • Uphold principles of Just Culture and organizational values.
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance at all times.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado
  • Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room (OR) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
