OR Surgical Technician - Contract Position

Location: Tuba City, Arizona
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Provide surgical technologist support in the operating room for adult and pediatric patients.
• Assist with patient positioning, surgical prepping, and draping.
• Set up the operating room before surgery, ensuring all equipment and instruments are available and functional.
• Surgical specialties include General Surgery, Orthopedic, Otolaryngology, Ophthalmology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Podiatry, and Urology.
• Rotational scheduling with on-call coverage required (nights, weekends, holidays).

Work Schedule

• 10-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, 4 days per week (weekdays).
• On-call duties included.
• Orientation occurs every 2 weeks.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Surgical Technician, including experience within the last year.
• Certification from one of the following:

  • National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
  • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
  • Certified Tech in Surgery (TS-C)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Additional Information

• COVID and flu vaccination exemptions may be accepted after submission of a declination form.
• Housing application must be submitted 2 weeks prior to start date.
