Description

Registered Nurse - Cardiac Telemetry

Location: Greensboro, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

  • Work a day shift schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
  • No weekends or holidays required
  • Unit operates Monday through Friday, open from 5:30 AM to 9:00 PM
  • Pre/post unit for Cath lab, EP lab, PV lab, and interventional radiology
  • Patient population includes Same Day PCI patients and those from IR, EP, Cath, and PV labs
  • Some patients require telemetry monitoring

Required Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 1 year of telemetry nursing experience within the last year
  • Experience in Charge RN roles
  • Knowledge of EKG interpretation and monitoring

Required Certifications & Licenses

  • Valid Registered Nurse license in North Carolina
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

  • Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
  • Social Security Card for badge issuance
  • Background check within 60 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years, including aliases and multiple search levels
  • Education verification by a 3rd party for nursing degree (Associate’s degree in nursing or higher required)
  • Transcript or diploma may be required for verification
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 40 days of start (includes THC, opiates, cocaine, amphetamines, etc.)
  • Immunizations and health documents required:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine proof
    • Negative TB test (Qgold/TSPOT) within 6 months or chest X-ray if positive history
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer proof
    • Varicella vaccination or positive titer proof
    • Hepatitis B titer or declination
    • Annual flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
  • Fit mask test (N95 respirator) completed within current calendar year and updated annually
  • Physical exam may be required depending on agency policies
  • Two supervisory references required from clinical assignments within the last 24 months (one within 12 months)
  • Employment application/resume with 7-year work history
  • Verification of employment history for last 5 years through third-party vendor

  • Strict zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
  • Candidates must be flexible with scheduling
  • Mandatory completion of a health history form and other facility-specific documents prior to clearance
  • Badge photo must meet strict facility requirements (no selfies, solid color background, business casual or uniform attire, forward-facing pose)
  • Orientation includes acknowledgment of safety manual and pass/fail testing policies
  • Candidates must review and sign floating policy and contractor equipment acknowledgment forms
  • Onboarding includes Workday login and multi-factor authentication setup before first day
