Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Neuro Telemetry
Location: Lubbock, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
Weekend Requirement: Yes, 6 weekend shifts per schedule period
Float: Position will float between units
On-Call: No
Patient Ratio: 1:4
Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care, Level II Trauma Center

Job Description
- Registered Nurse specializing in Neuro Telemetry (Neuro Tele RN)
- First-time travelers and those with 1 year of specialty experience are eligible
- Must be able to work night shifts and weekends as scheduled
- Floating between units is required
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Minimum 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
Background Checks
- Must have a background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years
- Background checks must include SSN Trace, Death Master Index, Nationwide and County checks, National Sex Offender Registry, FACIS Level 3, Education Verification, and MVR if applicable
- State-specific searches required as applicable
- Returning candidates with less than 30-day gap may not require new background checks
Health and Immunizations
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Fit mask test (respirator clearance) required for travel starts after 2/5/2024, updated annually
- TDAP vaccine within 10 years or signed declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer with acceptable documentation
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season or signed declination
- COVID vaccination record preferred (declinations accepted)
Drug Testing
- 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start
- Instant drug screens acceptable if paired with attestation form
References and Employment History
- Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years (7 years for APN/Subcontractors)
- Work history verification required if reference exceptions are requested
Uniform and Appearance
- Licensed nursing personnel must wear solid navy blue uniforms or scrubs (scrub tops may have colored piping)
- Print tops are not acceptable except in specific pediatric or women’s services units
Additional Requirements
- Photo for badge (passport style with neutral background) required prior to start
- Must complete required WorkRamp modules annually, including:
- Regulatory requirements
- Specialty-specific modules for Neuro Telemetry and related areas
- Facility-specific modules as assigned
- Must acknowledge and comply with float policy (may be required to float to other nearby facilities)
Work Environment
- Short Term Acute Care hospital with Level II Trauma designation
- Night shift with 36 hours per week (3 shifts of 12 hours)
- Floating between units expected
- No on-call duties
