Job Opportunity: CST/ORT - OR (Travel)

Location: Denver, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Unit: Main OR
Number of ORs: 14
Staff: 70 Full-Time Equivalents (FTEs)
Shift Coverage:
- Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 1 RN/1 Surgical Technologist (ST) per OR, Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), Anesthesia Technicians (ATs), Trauma team
- Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 1 RN, 1 ST
Patient Ratios: Approximately 1:1 (not guaranteed)
EMR System: Meditech

Job Description

Flexible day/evening hours as needed
Call required
Procedures performed: All typical OR procedures except Cardiovascular OR (CVOR), Neurosurgery, and Transplants
Preferred shifts: 1500-2300 (3 PM - 11 PM), 1100-2100 (11 AM - 9 PM) considered
Team environment with high accountability and expertise expected

Required Qualifications

Valid Surgical Technologist license in Colorado
Surgical Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NBSTA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting)
- DORA (Division of Regulatory Agencies) Certification
