Description

Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Location: Fort Worth, Texas
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7 PM, every other weekend
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Call Requirements: None


Unit Information

  • Department: Respiratory Therapy
  • Documentation System: Meditech
  • Procedures Performed:
    • Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs)
    • Assist with intubation
    • Nebulizer treatment
    • Metaneb
    • Intermittent Positive Pressure Breathing (IPPB)
    • Chest Physiotherapy (CPT)

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Respiratory Care Practitioner license in Texas
  • Respiratory Therapist (RT) License/Certification
  • Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Care Practitioner experience, including experience within the last year
  • National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) certification
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Servo I ventilator
  • Experience with I-Stat

Dress Code and Appearance Guidelines

  • Black scrubs required (must be purchased)
  • Nails must be clean and healthy; no artificial nails, gel, or similar enhancements
  • Hair must be neat and clean; pulled back if shoulder length or longer when working in the lab
  • Facial hair must be clean and neatly trimmed
  • Tattoos should be covered whenever possible
  • Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited (e.g., nose rings, tongue rings)

  • Floating and attendance policies will be followed as per company guidelines
