Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech

Location: Montclair, New Jersey
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Evening (5 days a week, 8 hours per day, 14:45 - 23:15)
Hours per Week: 40 hours

Job Details

• Unit accepts first-time travelers (no prior travel experience required)
• Call required
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not accepted

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiology Technologist license in New Jersey
• Minimum 1 year of Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
• Experience as an X-Ray Technician

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• I9 verification (for direct candidates)
• Driver’s License or State ID
• E-Verify compliance (for direct candidates)
• 7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually (includes SS trace, county searches, nationwide, sex offender, education verification)
• Education verification of highest level completed (transcript or diploma accepted if verification pending)
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually (specific mask types required by location)
• Immunizations and titers:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years (no declinations except approved medical exemptions)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (with additional requirements if positive)
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: positive titer or 2 vaccines; boosters required if negative/equivocal
  • Hepatitis B: positive titer, series, or declination accepted; boosters if negative/equivocal
  • Varicella: positive titer, 2 vaccines, or documented chickenpox history; boosters if negative/equivocal
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
• TB questionnaire within 90 days of start (required annually if positive TB history)
• Negative drug screen (10 panel) within 90 days of start

• Complete employment application/resume
• 7-year work history verification (New Jersey mandates minimum 1 year prior to start with no gaps over 30 days)
• Unit-specific skills checklist (annual)
• Clear headshot photo for badge
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgment and HIPAA compliance documentation
• Fingerprinting may be required onsite during orientation (specific to some states/facilities)

Notes

• Prior travel experience is not required for this position.
• Candidates must be willing to work evening shifts and be available for call.
• Locals within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this travel contract.
