Job Opportunity: Oncology Clinic Registered Nurse

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Work as an Oncology Clinic RN handling incoming patients only; no chemotherapy or infusion administration.
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts, approximately 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (40 hours/week).
• Weekend shifts are not required.
• Possible floating between two nearby clinic locations.
• Unit orientation includes 24 hours of training plus a hospital orientation week one; attendance at all classes is mandatory.
• Scrubs: Navy blue (not provided).
• First-time travelers are accepted.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of Hematology/Oncology nursing experience
• Hematology/Oncology nursing experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Preferred Qualifications

• Oncology experience preferred but not required.

Orientation & Training Requirements

• 24 hours unit orientation plus hospital orientation week one (mandatory attendance).
• Completion of facility-specific education modules including:

  • Non-Novant Health Worker Orientation (4-10 hours depending on acuity).
  • Medication Safety training with certificate of completion.
  • Annual compliance training (40 minutes).
  • Other state-specific mandatory education if applicable.

Additional Compliance & Documentation

• Must complete and sign facility confidentiality agreement, tobacco-free campus acknowledgement, hospital policies, and other required facility-specific documents prior to start.
• Photo for badge required (passport style, white background, business attire, no head coverings except glasses).
• Must complete Corp ID process including logging into I-Learn within 24 hours of receiving credentials and submitting proof.
• References: 2 professional references within 3 years required for travel and acute care positions.
• Employment application must be uploaded.

Important Notes

• No Return to Office (RTO) after booking allowed; call-offs or additional RTO may result in cancellation.
• Candidates must be available for all orientation and training days.
• Floating between clinic locations may be required.
• This position does not involve chemotherapy or infusion administration duties.
