Description
Registered Nurse – Med/Surge Telemetry
Location: Meriden, Connecticut
Employment Type: Long Term
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (36 hours per week)
Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday rotation
Job Description
- Provide nursing care for Med/Tele and Stroke patients in an inpatient acute care setting
- Perform stroke patient care and assessments
- Utilize Telemetry monitoring and EPIC charting systems
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Connecticut
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience in an inpatient setting
- Stroke patient care and assessment experience
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- At least 1 year of prior travel nursing experience
- Experience with EPIC charting system
Additional Information
- Night shift with a 36-hour workweek
- Rotation includes every other weekend and holidays
