Description
Physical Therapist (PT) - Temp Position
Location: Fort Dodge, Iowa
Shift: Days (8 hours per day)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Overview
- Provide professional and clinical care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Work 4 days per week in an outpatient clinic and 1 day per week in acute care.
- May be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses.
- Opportunity to work 1-2 acute care weekends during the assignment (Saturday 7:00 AM–12:00 PM, Sunday 7:00 AM–11:00 AM) is available but not mandatory.
- Patient focus includes orthopedic, neurological, and safety discharge cases.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of current Physical Therapist experience (work history must reflect this).
- At least 1 year of previous PT experience required.
- Outpatient experience required; inpatient experience preferred.
- EPIC electronic medical record experience required.
- Physical Therapist license valid for practice in Iowa.
- Current BLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Skills checklist specific to Physical Therapist discipline required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of at least 1 prior travel contract preferred.
- Professional references or performance evaluations within the last 24 months preferred.
Additional Details
- Local candidates are not eligible; candidates must have a taxable address more than 60 miles from the facility.
- Orientation is held weekly on Mondays.
- On-call availability includes Saturday and Sunday morning shifts as noted above.
Work Environment
- Interdisciplinary team setting.
- Use of EPIC EMR system.
- Floating within the discipline across local campuses may be required.
Note: This is a temporary assignment with a 13-week duration.
