Description
Job Opportunity: Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location
- Columbus, Ohio

- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule
- Day shift, 3 shifts per week
- 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
- Total 36 hours per week
- May float to units with similar acuity
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
- Minimum 2 years of Maternal-Newborn nursing experience, with experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- IV start skills
- Experience with Epic electronic medical record system
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred (not required)
Certifications & Training
- ACLS certification may be required depending on unit (effective 11/13/25 for certain units)
- PALS certification required for ER, ER OB, and ER Psych units
- NIH Stroke Certification may be required depending on unit; must be obtained within 1 year of start and renewed every 2 years if applicable
- Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement required annually
- Fraud, Waste, and Abuse training certificate required prior to start and updated annually
- Dress code and hand hygiene policy acknowledgment required for contracts signed 5/19/25 and beyond
- Confidential Fraud Waste Abuse and Compliance Reporting Mechanism form required for all candidates
Background & Compliance
- Fingerprinting must be completed within 1 year of start; new fingerprinting required if break in service exceeds 90 days or results are older than 1 year
- Pending background check attestation required if fingerprint results are pending at start
- Education accreditation confirmation required immediately after contract signing
- High school diploma or GED verification required for certain clinical roles
- Monthly monitoring for EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG lists

This position offers an opportunity to work in a specialized postpartum/mother-baby care setting with a reputable healthcare facility in Ohio. Candidates must meet strict licensure, certification, and health requirements to ensure compliance and patient safety. Prior travel experience is preferred but not mandatory.
