Description
Cath Lab Technologist
Location: Eau Claire, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Work schedule: Monday to Thursday, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM (10-hour shifts)
- On-call requirements:
- Monday to Thursday evenings/nights (5:00 PM to 6:30 AM)
- Weekends (Friday 6:30 AM through Sunday 6:30 AM) on a rotating schedule (every 3rd weekend)
- Holidays as needed
- Call response time: 30 minutes
- Average cases per day: 6
- Number of cath lab suites: 2
- Common procedures: Coronary, Interventional Radiology (IR), and Vascular procedures (no Electrophysiology cases)
- Duties: Scrub, monitor, and circulate cases; occasional 1:1 sitter assistance
- Orientation: Unit-specific orientation with competency-based training assigned on day 1, to be completed within the first week
- Scrubs provided by facility (light blue)
- Must clock in and out at the facility
Required Qualifications
- Certification: BLS (AHA) required; ACLS preferred
- Experience:
- Scrubbing skills
- Pan/general x-ray knowledge
- Knowledge of IR and cardiac cases
- EMR/Equipment experience: Cerner and Merge
Additional Information
- Cardiologist and IR call coverage involves approximately 10 days per month on Stemi divert and IR call with limited providers
- Prior employment with this facility requires a minimum 6-month gap before reapplying
Notes for Applicants
- This position requires flexibility for call coverage including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility may have adjusted client rates (not included here)
