Description
Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg / Progressive Care Unit (PCU) (Days)
Location: Rock Island, Illinois
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Overview
- Provide professional and clinical nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- May float within the same discipline across local campuses.
- Work schedule: Days, 36-40 hours per week; overtime billable after 40 hours.
- Electronic Medical Record system used: EPIC.
- Orientation sessions available on scheduled dates throughout the year.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois required; Iowa license available as an option.
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required.
- Experience with chest tubes, femostats, tracheostomies, continuous bladder irrigations (CBIs), drains, and central lines.
- Knowledge and experience with medication titration including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, Argatroban.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must not have been employed by this health system within the last 12 months.
- Must have a taxable address located more than 50 miles from the facility.
Additional Requirements for Submission
- Work history/resume.
- Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission.
- License verification.
- Copies of required certifications.
- One supervisory reference at time of submission.
Work Environment & Benefits
- Night and holiday overtime paid at 1.15x multiplier.
- Call back pay at 1.5x multiplier with a minimum 2-hour call back.
- On-call pay available.
- Additional pay for charge/preceptor roles.
Notes

- Facility is a Level 1 trauma center.
- Prior travel experience is not required.
