Description
Job Opportunity: CVOR Registered Nurse
Location: Everett, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Day shift, 4 days a week, 10 hours per day (6:30 AM - 5:00 PM)
- Guaranteed Hours: 70 hours per 2-week period
- Start Date: ASAP
- Call Requirements: At least 1 weekend per month and 5 weekday evenings per month
- Floating: Required to float to Main OR as needed
- Locals: Not accepted
- Pending License: Accepted
Unit Information
- Procedures include CABG, AVR, AAA, MVR, minimally invasive valve procedures, VATS, mediastinoscopy, RATS, carotid cutdowns, laser lead standby, pericardial windows, tamponade, and CVL support.
- Required experience with General, Cardiovascular/Thoracic, and Laparoscopic cases.

Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Washington
- Minimum 1 year of CVOR experience, with CVOR experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with Epic
Additional Requirements
- Skills Checklist: Must be updated annually for applicable units
- Employment Application: Must include at least last 5 years of employment with month/year format
- Work History Verification: Required if reference exceptions are requested
- Photo for Badge: Passport-style photo with neutral background required
- Float Policy Acknowledgement: Required; candidate may be required to float to other facilities within reasonable distance
Training and Competency
- Competency Exams: Required as applicable by profession/specialty
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam: Required as applicable
- Color Blind Testing: May be required on a unit basis
- Epic Training: Completion of EPIC modules required prior to or shortly after orientation
- Workramp Modules:
- Annual regulatory and specialty-specific modules required
- Modules assigned based on region, profession, and specialty
- Return candidates with less than 1-year gap may not need to retake modules if not expired
Notes
- First-time travelers accepted
- Weekends required only for call shifts
- Must submit all required background and credentialing documents at time of application
- Prior travel experience is not required for this position
This position offers an opportunity to work in a high-acuity cardiovascular operating room environment with a supportive facility that covers parking and uses EPIC for charting. The role requires flexibility for call shifts and floating within OR units.
