Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract

Location: Colville, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Facility Type: Critical Access Hospital (25 staffed beds, no trauma)
Charting System: Epic
Parking: No fee


Job Details

  • Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
  • Position does not float between units but may float to another facility 30 minutes away if needed.
  • Weekend work required every other weekend.
  • Block schedules required.
  • Patient ratio expected: 1:3
  • On-call is not required.
  • 48-hour shifts are not approved.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Respiratory Care Practitioner license in Washington.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner experience within the last year.

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, confirming ability to work and free of infectious disease.
  • Background check within 90 days of start covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually.
  • Drug screen (9-panel) within 12 months of start; instant tests acceptable if paired with attestation.
  • Immunizations and health screenings required:
    • TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (annual updates required)
    • TDAP vaccine within 10 years (declination accepted)
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
    • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
    • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
    • Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season (declination accepted)
    • COVID-19 vaccination record preferred (declinations not required)
  • Respirator clearance (RespSafety) required annually for travel candidates.
  • Fit mask test required for travel candidates, updated annually.

References & Employment History

  • Minimum of 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting.
  • Employment application covering at least the last 5 years required.
  • Skills checklist must be current and updated annually.

  • Housing options available nearby, including furnished rooms in a female-only shared home.
  • No badge photo required for this facility.
  • Floating policy acknowledgment required due to possible float to nearby facility.
  • Required to complete annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via WorkRamp LMS platform.
  • Epic charting training may be required depending on assignment.
