Description
Occupational Therapist (OT) - Travel Position
Location: Carlsbad, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, plus one Saturday per month and holidays required
Job Description
- Provide occupational therapy evaluations and treatments for physically disabled hospitalized patients.
- Develop, implement, and modify age-appropriate treatment programs.
- Participate in care plan meetings and discharge planning.
- Perform administrative duties and participate in performance improvement activities.
- Facilitate rehabilitation to maximize patients' functional status.
- Work within a 99-bed facility including 10 inpatient rehab beds and 15 swing beds.
- Use MedHost EMR system.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in New Mexico
- Minimum 1 year of Occupational Therapist experience within the last year
- Current BLS certification
Additional Information
- Patient ratio: 1:1.
- No floating or on-call responsibilities.
- Holidays are required to work.
- 48-hour guarantees and blocked scheduling are not approved.
