Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Tech

Location: Avon, Indiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (Nuclear Medicine Tech)
• Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (Day shift)
• Hours: 40 hours per week (options include 8 or 10-hour shifts, or 3-4 twelve-hour shifts)
• Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics
• Facility Type: Short-Term Acute Care
• Charting System: Cerner
• Scrub Color: Royal Blue
• Parking: Free

Required Qualifications

• Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in Indiana
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, including experience within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• CNMT or NMTCB certification
• Experience with Cerner charting system

Additional Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License or Passport (clear copy required)
• Background checks including 7-year work/living history, education verification, and various federal/state screenings required within specified timeframes
• Physical exam completed within 12 months of start date
• Fit mask test within 12 months of start (specific approved respirators required)
• Immunizations and health screenings:

  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Required vaccinations or positive titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella
  • Hepatitis B series, titer, or signed declination
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (no declinations accepted)
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months
• Competency exams and color blindness testing required
• Minimum of 2 professional references from recent employment (verified within 2 years)
• Current employment application with full work history and explanations for gaps of 30+ days
• Skills checklist completed within 12 months and updated annually
• Completion of facility-specific orientation, compliance, confidentiality, and policy forms prior to start

This position is ideal for Nuclear Medicine Technologists with community hospital experience who hold the required certifications and Indiana licensure, and who are comfortable working a consistent weekday day shift with some holiday coverage.
