Description

Job Opportunity: OB/GYN Ultrasound Technician

Location

  • Salem, Massachusetts (Off-site OBGYN office in Swampscott, MA)

Employment Type

  • Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule

  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Tuesday, Thursday: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
  • 40 hours per week, day shift

Unit and Patient Population

  • One ultrasound room located in a radiology suite at an off-site office park
  • Outpatient schedule
  • Clinician to patient ratio: 1:1
  • Patient population includes OB (first, second, and third trimester exams), GYN, and transvaginal exams

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, with experience within the last year
  • RDMS-ABD certification required
  • Ob/Gyn Sonographer experience required

Certifications and Licenses

  • RDMS-ABD, OBGYN certification required
  • Must have a valid professional license for Ultrasound Technician in Massachusetts (MA Conditional Licenses not accepted)
  • Primary source verification of license required within 30 days of start date and updated upon expiration

Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System

  • EPIC

Required Health and Safety Credentials (Must be current and uploaded prior to start)

  • N95 Fit Test within 365 days (no exemptions allowed)
  • Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation (if fit test required)
  • MMR vaccination or proof of immunity
  • TB test documentation within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test)
  • Physician Health Statement within 365 days
  • Other vaccinations preferred: Hepatitis B (strongly preferred), Tdap (preferred)

Background and Professional Checks (Must be current and uploaded prior to start)

  • Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start date
  • Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start date
  • National Sex Offender Registry check within 30 days prior to start date
  • Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid) within 30 days prior to start date
  • Social Security Number trace for past 7 years
  • Education verification of highest degree achieved
  • Resume including past 7 years of work experience
  • Two professional references within 4 years (minimum one supervisor-level)
  • Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission
  • Confirmation of assignment form required upon acceptance and for extensions

Additional Notes

  • No floating or rotating shifts required
  • Prior travel experience is not specified as required
  • Positive TB test requires negative chest x-ray documentation (optional but recommended)
  • Name change documentation required if legal name differs from credential documentation
