Respiratory Therapist - Contract Position

Location

• LaGrange, Indiana

Employment Type

• Contract Clinician
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• 12-hour evening shifts
• Approximately 36 hours per week
• Employee will work most shifts alone
• No scheduled on-call, but may be called in on short notice if needed
• No floating to other units/departments

Unit Details

• 25-bed critical access hospital
• Dress code: Black scrubs

Job Duties

• Administer scheduled and PRN treatments
• Perform outpatient, inpatient, and emergency department EKGs
• Perform ABG blood draws
• Use Epic computerized charting and charging
• Use Pyxis medication system and other basic equipment (computers, EKG machines)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience required; 3-5 years preferred
• Must be able to work independently
• Licenses and certifications required:

  • NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care)
  • Indiana State Respiratory Therapist License
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

Training and Orientation

• Epic training specific for respiratory therapists
• Cupid training
• Department orientation provided

Prior Travel Experience
