Description
Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – New Mexico
Location
- Santa Fe, New Mexico
- Primary assignment at one medical campus with required willingness to float to the main campus or other locations as staffing needs require.
Employment Type
- Travel contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Day shift: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Four 10-hour shifts per week (4x10s)
- Full-time
Job Summary
- Independently practices nursing in the same or similar clinical setting.
- Provides routine and complex nursing care.
- Develops ability to manage clinical contingencies.
- Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers to manage clinical situations.
- Meets professional nursing competencies and standards of practice.
- Provides nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Administers medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
- Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
- Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, families, and caregivers.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Mexico
- Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience within the last year
- BLS Certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS Certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
