Description

Registered Nurse - Electrophysiology

Location: Manchester, New Hampshire
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Four 10-hour days (07:00 - 17:30)
Hours per Week: 36
Unit: Electrophysiology Lab (Procedural Area, not Prep Recovery)


Job Description

  • Work in a 3-lab Electrophysiology unit with advanced cardiac procedures.
  • Patient ratio: approximately 3-4 staff members per room.
  • Equipment includes Siemens and Philips X-ray systems, EP Claris Recording System and Stimulator, Carto, Rhythmia, Ensite Mapping System, RF and PFA ablation technology.
  • Documentation via EP Claris Nurse Scribe.
  • No weekends, no major holidays, no call required.
  • Assigned to stay late 1-2 shifts per week if cases run past 17:30.
  • No floating to other units.

Procedures Performed

  • Pacemaker implants
  • Implantable Cardio-defibrillators (ICD) implants
  • Leadless pacemaker implants
  • Subcutaneous ICD (SICD) implants
  • BiVentricular Pacemaker/ICD implants
  • Electrophysiology studies
  • Right and left atrial cardiac ablations
  • Ventricular tachycardia (VT) and premature ventricular contraction (PVC) ablations
  • Transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE)/CVSN
  • Laser lead extractions
  • Left atrial appendage closure implants

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire
  • Minimum 2 years of Electrophysiology Lab experience, including experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • HHCCA - De-escalation Skills in Healthcare Setting

Dress Code

  • OR scrubs required.
  • Shoes worn outside the hospital are not allowed in labs without shoe covers.
  • Scrub cap required.
