Job Opportunity: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)

Shift Details
- Rotating Evenings/Nights every other week
- Shift options: 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts accepted
- Typical hours:
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Evening shift: 3:00 PM – 3:30 AM
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
- Holidays: Required as scheduled
- Floating: Required within Emergency Department specialty, including coverage at 4 other ED locations as needed
- On-call: Not required
Work Environment
- Fast-paced, high volume general emergency department
- Combined adult and pediatric patient population
- Patient acuity ratio: 1:4, up to 1:5 with lower acuity patients
- Patient diagnoses: Wide range of complex cases, including multi-diagnoses across pediatric through geriatric populations
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Maryland
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience
- Emergency Department experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) issued by American Heart Association
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) issued by American Heart Association
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
