Description
Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - New Mexico
Location
- Santa Fe, New Mexico
- Primary assignment at one medical campus with required willingness to float to main campus or other locations as staffing needs require
Employment Type
- Travel contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Day shift: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Four 10-hour shifts per week (4x10s)
- Full-time
Job Summary
- Provides independent nursing care in a similar clinical setting
- Manages routine and complex patient care with long-range planning
- Delegates and assigns tasks to other care providers to manage clinical situations effectively
- Meets professional nursing competencies and standards of practice
- Addresses psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
- Administers medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
- Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
- Assesses learning needs and educates patients, families, and caregivers
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Mexico
- BLS Certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS Certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Minimum 1 year of Med Surg nursing experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Operating Room (OR) experience
