Description
Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Shift: Days, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Provides independent nursing care in a similar clinical setting, managing routine and complex patient care.
- Develops skills to handle clinical contingencies and makes appropriate assignments and delegations to other care providers.
- Meets nursing competencies including leadership and professional standards consistent with ANA Scope and Standards of Practice.
Responsibilities
- Perform nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
- Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Administer medications and treatments following protocols; monitor for side effects and effectiveness.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
- Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Mexico
- Minimum 1 year of Med Surg nursing experience within the last year
- Operating Room (OR) experience
- BLS Certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS Certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Work Schedule & Requirements
- Full-time, 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts.
- Weekend shifts are not required but volunteering for call at the main campus is possible.
- No on-call requirement; however, staff may need to stay if cases run past scheduled blocks.
- Must be willing to float between primary location and main campus or other locations as staffing needs require.
