Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR) Travel Position
Location: Denver, Colorado
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Employment Type: Travel
Unit Information
- Unit: Operating Room (OR)
- Hospital Size: 408 beds
- OR Rooms: 14 total (1 Hybrid CV OR, 1 Cysto, 12 multipurpose ORs)
- Staffing: Approximately 60 full-time employees including OR RNs, CSTs, PCTs, Anesthesia Techs, and leadership roles
- Shift Coverage:
- Day Shift: 14-16 RNs and CSTs, plus Clinical Charge RNs
- Night Shift: Clinical Charge RN, 1 OR RN, 1 CST, with call teams for Neuro, CVOR, and General surgery
- Patient Ratios: 1:1
- Equipment: Standard OR equipment, Stryker video systems
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech
Job Responsibilities & Skills
- Independently circulate as an RN in the OR
- Ability to scrub preferred
- Perform all typical OR procedures except transplants
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Colorado
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
Work Schedule & On-Call
- Typical workweek: 36 hours
- On-call required 1 day per week from 5 PM to 7 PM
- Weekend on-call approximately once every 6 weeks (dependent on orthopedic surgeon on-call schedule)
