Description
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Travel)
Location: Dallas, TX
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7 PM – 7 AM, every other weekend
Hours per Week: 36
Call Requirements: Yes
Job Summary
Provide nursing care in the Emergency Department (ER) with a focus on acute patient needs. Floating to other units as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) Certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Unit & Work Environment
- Unit: Emergency Department
- Documentation system: Meditech
- Floating policy: Floating to other units as needed
- Dress code:
- Royal blue scrubs required
- Nails must be clean and healthy; artificial nails, gel, or similar are not allowed
- Hair must be neat, clean, and pulled back if shoulder length or longer when working in the lab
- Facial hair must be clean and neatly trimmed
- Tattoos should be covered whenever possible
- Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited (e.g., nose rings, tongue rings)
