Description
Travel RN - Cardiovascular Surgery
Location: McKinney, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Information
- Unit: Surgery (7 Operating Rooms)
- Number of Beds: 7 OR suites
- Staff: Approximately 45 (RNs, CSTs, ancillary support)
- Shifts:
- Day: 1 charge RN, 6-7 RNs, 6-7 CSTs, Orderly, Anesthesia Techs
- Night: 1 RN, 1 CST
- Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:1
- EMR System: Meditech
- Equipment: Various surgical equipment including robotics
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience within the last year
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience
- Neurology experience
- Orthopedic surgery experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Trauma center experience
- Additional Ortho experience

- Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Robotics
- General surgery, Trauma, Urology
Work Schedule & Expectations
- Hours per week: 36
- Shift: 7 AM to 7 PM on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
- Call requirement: Approximately 10 to 15 days per month (specific to cardiovascular positions)
- Dress code: Hospital-provided scrubs required daily
- Personality fit: Team player with a positive attitude

- Candidates without required OR experience and Neuro/Ortho/Spine skills will not be considered
- Floating assignments not specified
