Description

Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab

Location: El Paso, Texas
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (standard hours 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM with flexibility required; possible shifts 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Call: Required, distributed evenly among staff; on-call for emergent cases including weekends


Unit Overview

  • 3 operating Cath Lab rooms (2 are Electrophysiology compatible)
  • Staff per case: 2 RNs and 2 Cardiovascular Technicians during day shift, with additional anesthesia or non-invasive support as needed
  • Equipment: Cath Lab technology including PCI, EP (a-fib), Watchman, TAVR, INARI, devices such as pacemakers (PPM), ICDs, Impella
  • EMR system: Meditech
  • Permanent positions available on unit
  • Recognized for high structural volume and excellent outcomes, including very low PCI mortality rates

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Texas
  • Cardiac Cath Lab experience with a minimum of 1 year, including experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • ACLS certification
  • BLS certification
