Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech (Travel/Contract)

Location: Muncie, Indiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Night shift, Tuesday through Thursday, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each)
• Work Setting:

  • Required: Inpatient, Emergency Room, Teaching Hospital, Community Hospital, Adult ICU
  • Preferred: Outpatient, Operating Room, NICU, PICU
• Unit Info: General X-Ray duties on 3rd shift covering a busy emergency department and STAT inpatient exams
• Floating: None

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiology Technologist license in Indiana
• Minimum 1.5 years of Radiology Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience as an X-Ray Technician in an inpatient setting
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ARRT (XR) certification

Additional Requirements

• Background Checks:

  • Must have a background check within 90 days of start, including 7 years of residence/work history, SSN trace, county and statewide criminal checks, national sex offender registry, and FACIS Level III
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
• Education Verification: Official transcript or diploma required (may be pending at start)
• Competency Exams: Unit competency exam and medication/pharmacology test required
• Health Documents:

  • Physical exam within 12 months of start
  • Fit mask test within 12 months (N95 or approved respirators)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Immunizations or positive titers required for: Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B
  • Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required for flu season (9/30 - 3/31)
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months
• References: Minimum of 2 professional references from recent employment verified within 2 years
• Application: Current employment application with full work history and explanations for any gaps of 30+ days

Notes

• First-time travelers are accepted for this position.
• Indiana RN travelers will not be allowed to work at the facility after 11/30/24, except for Perioperative/OR RN, Allied, and Ambulatory RN travelers. This does not affect Radiology Technologists.
• Valid driver’s license or passport required as identification.
• HIPAA and facility-specific compliance forms must be completed prior to start.
