Shift Details

• Day shift
• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
• Total 36 hours per week

Required Experience

• Minimum 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• Must have 18 months permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience prior to travel assignment

Required Licenses & Certifications

• Valid Ohio RN license or compact state license in hand
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
• AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Willingness to obtain NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification prior to start

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience of at least 1.5 years, including experience within the last year
• ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Orientation & Onboarding

• Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start (must be done on a computer using Google Chrome)
• Modules include mandatory training videos and tests; skipping videos will lock candidate out
• Passing scores required on medication administration and ECG interpretation exams during orientation (SafeMedicate 90%, ECG 80%)
• Candidates with less than 6 months gap from previous assignment at the same health system may be exempt from some orientation requirements

Background Checks & Compliance

• Comprehensive background check including 7-year FCRA-compliant search, education verification, and fingerprinting (FBI and BCI) required prior to start and updated annually
• Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
• Fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of signed contract; facility will also conduct fingerprinting onsite
• Ohio BCI/FBI fingerprint attestation required annually

Documentation & References

• Two professional references required from employment within one year of start (managerial or supervisory level)
• Employment application with at least 3 years prior work history including 2 years clinical practice in acute care setting similar to assignment
• Government-issued photo ID required and must be carried on assignment

• Candidates must be prepared for a non-negotiable, auto-offer process with shift options of 4x12, 3x12, or 2x12 available
• Candidates must complete all onboarding modules and documentation prior to clearance to start
• Candidates with name changes must have legal name updated in system before start
• Candidates may start with fingerprinting results pending if fingerprinting is completed prior to start
• Facility accommodates latex allergies; notification required to ensure latex-free supplies
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
