Description
Registered Nurse – Electrophysiology
Location: Peoria, Illinois
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days
Hours: 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week
Position Summary
- Assist physicians with arteriograms and other specialized radiologic procedures under sterile technique.
- Prepare examination area and position patients for procedures.
- Operate complex radiology equipment following established techniques.
- Support physicians by passing materials, taking exposures, and other tasks as directed.
- Provide patient care appropriate to the ages of patients served.
Unit Details
- Unit size: 11 employees (5 techs, 6 RNs)
- Electrophysiologists: 4
- Procedure rooms: 2
- Procedure volume: 5-10 procedures per day
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, with rotating Saturday call (8 AM – 1 PM)
- Call/Night coverage: 4 x 10-hour shifts with weekend and night call rotation
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois RN license or confirmation that application process has been initiated
- BLS (AHA) certification
- Must comply with a drug-free workplace policy and produce a negative drug screen for all panels
Additional Information
- Orientation: 12 non-billable hours (guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation)
- Call off policy: Equivalent of 12 hours off every 13 weeks with no penalty or pay deduction
- Local rate adjustment applies for clinicians living within 50 miles (not relevant for pay disclosure)
