Cath Lab Registered Nurse - Travel/Contract

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Florida
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab nursing experience, with experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Licensure & Compliance

• Active, valid RN license for Florida required (no pending licenses accepted)
• Primary source license verification required within 30 days of start
• NURSYS verification required within 30 days of start
• Florida AHCA Level II fingerprint clearance required prior to start (Livescan electronic fingerprinting accepted nationwide)
• Background checks: 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG checks required and must be updated annually
• Physical exam within 6 months of start required
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Required immunizations/vaccinations or documented immunity:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Seasonal influenza vaccine required during flu season (medical/religious exemptions allowed with approved documentation)
• COVID-19 vaccination series or approved medical/religious exemption required

Health & Safety Requirements

• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 1 year of start (no Florida Medical Marijuana card accepted)
• Must comply with smoke-free facility policy (nicotine-free)
• Must complete all required health documents and attestations prior to start

Additional Requirements

• Two professional references within 2 years of start required
• Employment application required
• Skills checklist must be updated annually
• Pass/Fail testing on EKG and medication administered during orientation (2 attempts allowed per test)
• Must acknowledge and comply with facility privacy policies and safety manuals

Notes

• Time-sensitive online modules must be completed prior to start; delays are not permitted
• Floating may require coverage at multiple nearby hospitals within 20 miles
• Facility issues radiation badges if applicable
• Candidates with prior travel experience are accepted but not required
• Locals accepted at same pay rate as travelers
