Electrophysiology Tech - Travel/Contract

Location: Roanoke, Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM), rotating late shifts.
• No weekends or call requirements.
• Must be available to work or take call one holiday per 13-week contract (rotated with staff).
• Epic charting system experience required.
• Locals not accepted; candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility based on driver's license address.
• First-time travelers accepted.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Electrophysiology Technician, with experience within the last year.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current BLS certification.
• ARRT (R) certification or CCI certification.
• Proficient in sterile technique.
• Skilled in EKG lead placement.
• Ability to recognize and interpret dysrhythmias.

Required Documentation & Compliance

• I-9 or attestation
• Valid Driver’s License/State ID with address confirming minimum 50-mile radius from facility (required within 48 hours of signing)
• E-Verify or attestation
• Background Check: 7-year history, including all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; updated if break in assignments exceeds 30 days
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
• Education verification of highest earned degree
• Physical exam within 1 year confirming freedom from communicable diseases
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
• Fit test within 1 year, updated annually (not required for students)
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Required immunizations or positive titers: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Photo for badge (professional, plain background)
• Completion of new hire paperwork and compliance checklists prior to start
• Orientation Safety Manual review and acknowledgment
• References: Two clinical references or hospital evaluations
• Employment application/resume
• Annual skills checklist update
