Electrophysiology Tech - Travel/Contract
Location: Roanoke, Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM), rotating late shifts.
- No weekends or call requirements.
- Must be available to work or take call one holiday per 13-week contract (rotated with staff).
- Epic charting system experience required.
- Locals not accepted; candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility based on driver's license address.
- First-time travelers accepted.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Electrophysiology Technician, with experience within the last year.
- Current ACLS certification.
- Current BLS certification.
- ARRT (R) certification or CCI certification.
- Proficient in sterile technique.
- Skilled in EKG lead placement.
- Ability to recognize and interpret dysrhythmias.
Required Documentation & Compliance
- I-9 or attestation
- Valid Driver’s License/State ID with address confirming minimum 50-mile radius from facility (required within 48 hours of signing)
- E-Verify or attestation
- Background Check: 7-year history, including all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; updated if break in assignments exceeds 30 days
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
- Education verification of highest earned degree
- Physical exam within 1 year confirming freedom from communicable diseases
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
- Fit test within 1 year, updated annually (not required for students)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
- Required immunizations or positive titers: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
- Photo for badge (professional, plain background)
- Completion of new hire paperwork and compliance checklists prior to start
- Orientation Safety Manual review and acknowledgment
- References: Two clinical references or hospital evaluations
- Employment application/resume
- Annual skills checklist update
