Inpatient Physical Therapist – Zanesville, Ohio

Job Details

  • Employment Type: Contract
  • Contract Length: 12 weeks
  • Shift: Day shift with varied start times; typically Monday-Friday with one weekend shift per month
  • Hours per Week: 40 hours
  • Schedule Options:
    • Five 8-hour shifts Monday-Friday or Tuesday-Saturday (shift times vary between 8:00 AM–4:30 PM and 9:00 AM–5:30 PM)
    • Alternative schedule of four 10-hour shifts Wednesday-Saturday (7:00 AM–5:30 PM) may be considered
  • Weekend Coverage: If working primarily Monday-Friday, expect 2+ weekend date shifts per month with flexibility around personal schedule

Patient Population & Setting

  • Inpatient acute care setting at a Level 3 Trauma Center
  • Patient types include:
    • Orthopedics and Joint Replacement post-operative surgery patients (preferred familiarity)
    • Neurosurgical, neurological, cardiovascular (including CABG)
    • Vestibular, general surgery
    • Medically complex and intubated patients in critical care
  • Primary patient age groups: Adult, Geriatric, and Young Adult

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Physical Therapist license in Ohio
  • Minimum 2 years of Physical Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
  • BLS certification

Additional Information

  • Facility reserves the right to cancel shifts up to 36 hours during the 13-week contract
  • All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at submission and included in the confirmation to be honored
  • Contract start and end dates, as well as RTO, must match exactly between agency and facility requirements to maintain vendor status
