Description
Registered Nurse – Interventional Radiology
Location: Peoria, Illinois
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days
Hours: 4 days per week, 9-hour shifts (0630-1800), total 36 hours/week
Job Description
- Work in Interventional Radiology department with 6 labs/suites including pre-op and phase 2 recovery areas.
- Average caseload: 20-30 cases per day.
- Patient types include GI bleeds, strokes, biopsies, central lines, drains, and vascular cases.
- Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:1 during procedures, up to 1:4 in phase 2 recovery.
- Use of EPIC electronic medical records and Phillips monitors.
- Surgical scrubs provided.
- Orientation: 5 days unit/department specific plus 12 non-billable orientation hours.
- No floating required.
- Charge RN available 0730-1700 for case coverage and breaks.
- Call requirements: Primary and secondary call 6-8 shifts every 6 weeks, including weekends and holidays.
- Call response time: 30 minutes.
- Department closed on holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois RN license or proof of application initiation.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS.
- Experience with EKG interpretation and drip titration required.
- Must comply with drug-free workplace policy and produce a negative drug screen for all panels.
Additional Notes
- Local candidates within 50 miles considered under local placement policy.
- Call off policy: Equivalent of 12 hours off every 13 weeks without penalty.
