Radiation Therapist Travel/Contract Job – Greenville, South Carolina
Position Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Location: Greenville, South Carolina
- Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday (5x8 hours), 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Hours per Week: 40 hours
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiation Therapist license in South Carolina
- Minimum 1 year of Radiation Therapist experience within the last year
- Valid ARRT (Therapy) certification
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC; RQI acceptable)
- Valid SCRQSA license
- Experience with Epic
Certifications & Training Requirements
- Certifications must not expire within 30 days of start date
- Additional certifications may be required depending on unit assignment (verify with unit):
- ACLS (AHA or ARC; RQI acceptable)
- PALS (AHA or ARC; RQI acceptable)
- NRP (AHA Advanced only)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) as applicable
- Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) or Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification (only one required if applicable)
- NIH Stroke Certification
- Lactation Certificate (for Women’s RN candidates in relevant units)
- Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) required for Electrophysiology Techs and Monitor Techs; not required for Radiation Therapists
- HIPAA and OSHA training acknowledgment required annually
Compliance & Background Checks
- Must pass a 7-year background check completed within 12 months of start date, including:
- Social Security trace and alias searches
- State and county criminal searches for all states/counties lived or worked in last 7 years
- FACIS III search (if applicable)
- Sex offender registry check
- International searches if candidate lived/worked outside the US in last 7 years
- E-Verify or attestation required
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG sanction checks required within 30 days of start and every 30 days thereafter
- Fingerprinting required only if applicable (not typical for Radiation Therapists)
- Drug screening (5-panel) required within 1 year of start and updated annually
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, attesting ability to meet job demands
- Respirator Fit Test completed onsite during orientation
- Immunizations/vaccinations required (or documented immunity/declination):
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (if working in high-risk areas)
- Negative TB test (True 2-step PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or Tspot) within 90 days of start
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: positive titer or 2 vaccines (second vaccine may be pending if collected within 28 days)
- Hepatitis B vaccination series, positive titer, or signed declination
- Varicella: positive titer or 2 vaccines (second vaccine may be pending if collected within 28 days)
- Seasonal Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required annually (not required for 100% remote workers)
Orientation & Onboarding
- Completion of online Cornerstone modules within 72 hours of assignment (approximately 12 hours of modules) is mandatory before starting onsite
- 16 hours of non-billable orientation onsite after arrival
- Badge photo required prior to start (passport-style, plain background, no obstructions)
- Floating policy acknowledgment required (not applicable for non-clinical roles)
- Various facility-specific documents and acknowledgments must be completed and signed
Additional Notes
- Resume/application must include a 7-year work history
- Performance evaluations and internal evaluations required if previously worked with the agency over 1 year
- Medication and pharmacology competency exams required annually
- Color blindness testing required only for specific roles (not Radiation Therapist)
