Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg/Telemetry/Stepdown (Nights)

Location: Muscatine, Iowa

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide professional and clinical nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Float within the same discipline across local campuses, including occasional ER shifts.
• Care for an acute patient population, including managing critical drips and Bipap.
• Patient ratios vary from 1:2-3 up to 1:6 depending on acuity.
• Use of EPIC electronic medical record system required.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Med Surg and Stepdown nursing.
• Comfortable with acute care patients requiring critical drips and Bipap.
• EPIC EMR experience required.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Completed skills checklist within 1 year of application.
• License verification and required certifications.
• Work history/resume.
• One supervisory reference at time of submission.
• Must have a taxable address located more than 50 miles from the facility.

• Facility is a Level 4 trauma center.

Summary

This is a night shift, 12-hour temporary RN position requiring Med Surg and Stepdown experience with acute care skills, EPIC proficiency, and flexibility to float to ER. The role demands strong clinical skills, comfort with critical care drips, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with varying patient ratios. Prior travel experience is not required.
