Radiologic Technologist – General Imaging
Job Type
- Contractor
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 8-hour day shift
- Hours per week: 40
Unit & Patient Information
- Diagnostic imaging unit with:
- 5 diagnostic rooms
- 2 fluoroscopy rooms
- 1 video swallow room
- Additional clinic rooms including pain clinic and dental
- Average patient volume: 15-20 patients per tech per day
- Patient types: Inpatient, outpatient, emergency department, procedural; all age ranges with limited pediatrics
- Fast-paced unit with high acuity patients
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiology Technologist license in Wisconsin
- Minimum 2 years of Radiology Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- ARRT certification
- BLS certification
Orientation & Training
- 7-day orientation in the department
- Neonatal orientation provided
Scheduling & Work Environment
- Weekend rotation: every other weekend
- On-call schedule: one call shift per week with three call shifts covering 06:30-14:00, 14:00-22:30, and 22:30-06:30
- Holiday expectation: one holiday per contract
- Schedule cycle includes Monday-Friday plus every other weekend, with days off surrounding weekend shifts
- Shift start times may flex by 1 to 1.5 hours depending on staffing
Support & Team
- Lead technologist on first shift
- Radiologist available on site 24/7
- Team includes 14 techs on days, 7 on second shift, 3 on third shift
- Respiratory therapists, hospitalists, and intensivists available 24/7
Technology & Equipment
- EMR system: EPIC
- X-ray equipment brands: GE, Fuji, Del Medical
- PACS system: McKesson
- C-arm equipment: GE 9900, Elites, Medtronic O-arms
