Description
Registered Nurse (Sleep Clinic, Wellness Way)
Location: Bozeman, Montana
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to plan and implement patient and family education.
- Assess patient needs and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Practice modified primary nursing.
- Participate in stroke care education and comply with related policies.
Schedule
- Monday through Thursday, 7:45 AM to 5:15 PM
- Four 9-hour day shifts per week
- No nights or weekends required
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Montana
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum of 1 year of ambulatory care experience, with experience within the last year
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Outpatient clinic experience
- Knowledge of electronic health record systems
Essential Job Functions
- Collect comprehensive patient data and analyze to determine diagnoses.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Promote health and safety in the care environment.
- Continuously improve nursing practice quality and effectiveness.
- Maintain professional standards, ethics, and confidentiality.
- Provide leadership and contribute to peer professional development.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, twist, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach above shoulder level repeatedly
- Occasional climbing of stairs or ladders
- Continuous fine finger movements and close visual acuity
- Ability to push/pull with upper extremities repeatedly
Work Environment Exposures
- Bloodborne pathogens and infectious diseases
- Radiation exposure in medical imaging areas
- Chemicals, medications, cleaning products, and disinfectants
- Emotionally challenging situations involving patients and families
Additional Information
- The facility may cancel up to three shifts during the 13-week contract due to low census or unforeseen circumstances.
- Regular and sustained attendance is required, with potential for working beyond 40 hours per week and on-call duties.
